NOTICE TOWN OF BARABOO PLAN COMMISSION MEETING NOTICE – TOWN OF BARABOO PLAN COMMISSION MEETING Public notice is hereby given that the Town of Baraboo Plan Commission will hold a meeting on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 6:15 PM at the Baraboo Town Hall, located at 101 Cedar Street, Baraboo, WI 53913. AGENDA 1. Call meeting to order and verify compliance with Wisconsin’s open meeting laws. 2. Introduction of Plan commission members Steve Hess, Randy Puttkamer, Al Stanek, Pat Sprecher, and Lea Ann Gieck. 3. Adopt the agenda for this meeting. 4. Adopt the minutes of the December 1, 2025 meeting. 5. Citizens’ appearance on non-agenda topics. The commission will not take action on any of these topics at this meeting. 6. Discussion only in regards to a Special Exception Permit application for a nonmetallic mining site on tax parcels 002-0779-00000, 002-0784-02000 and 002-0784-10000, located at S4168 Crawford Street, Baraboo, WI. Nick Sperkle communicated that Tyler Leatherberry had indicated he needed to get a road agreement from the town to operate. The “current” Special Exception Permit was issued to the previous owner (before Tyler Leatherberry), and legally expired upon property transfer in July 2023. 7. Discussion and possible action to prepare a survey to town residents to obtain feedback on the process of updating the Town of Baraboo Comprehensive plan. No changes to the current comprehensive plan at this meeting. 8. Look though /organize paperwork in the plan commission area. 9. Give communications, updates, and reports. 10. Set the dates for the next meetings. 11. Adjournment. A quorum of the Baraboo Town Board may attend this meeting to gather information about a subject on which the town board has a decision-making responsibility. If a quorum of the town board attends, no action will be taken by the board at this time. Agenda by Steve Hess – Plan Commission Chairperson.
