NOTICE TOWN OF BARABOO PLAN COMMISSION MEETING Minutes – Town of Baraboo Plan Commission held a meeting on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 6:15 PM at the Baraboo Town Hall, located at 101 Cedar Street, Baraboo, WI 53913. 1. Called the meeting to order at 6:17 PM and verified compliance with Wisconsin’s open meeting laws. 2. Introduced plan commission members Steve Hess, Randy Puttkamer, Al Stanek, Pat Sprecher, and Lea Ann Gieck, as well as town clerk Morgan Olson. plan commission members Pat Sprecher was absent 3. Motion to adopt the agenda for this meeting made by Randy Puttkamer, seconded by Lea Ann Geick. Motion carried unanimously. 4.Motion to adopt the minutes of the May 5, 2025 meeting made by Randy Puttkamer, seconded by Al Stanek. Motion carried unanimously. 5. No Citizens appeared to speak on non-agenda topics. 6. No action or discussion in regards to approval of a Special Exception Permit application for a nonmetallic mining site from Tyler Leatherberry on tax parcels 002-0779-00000, 002-0784-02000 and 002-0784-10000, located at S4168 Crawford Street, Baraboo, WI. Applicant is asking for an extension of the Sauk County Board Of Adjustment’s deadline from February 2025 to June 2025 to continue operations while completing a reclamation plan update. The “current” Special Exception Permit was issued to the previous owner, and therefore would have legally expired upon property transfer in July 2023. The applicant did not appear. 7. Motion to renew move to town board for approval annual Renewal of town special permit to operate a Tourist Rooming House by Gregg McArthur for tax parcel 002-1307-11200, located at S5740 Coleman Road, Baraboo, WI made by Randy Puttkamer, seconded by Lea Ann Geick. Motion carried unanimously. 8. Motion to renew move to town board for approval Conditional use permit for Live Love Dwell LLC /Greg Dahlgren S5746 Point of Rocks Road Tax Parcels 002-0432- 00000 and 002-0435-00000, to establish a campground made by Randy Puttkamer, seconded by Lea Ann Geick. Motion included all recommendations from the county planning office. Motion carried unanimously. 9. Discussion only updates the Town of Baraboo Comprehensive plan. Randy putkamer indicated a county planner would be available to assist us in late July 10. Give communications, updates, and reports. 11. Next meeting dates set for July 7, 2025 and August 4, 2025 12. Meeting adjourned at 6:45 PM A quorum of the Baraboo Town Board may attend this meeting to gather information about a subject on which the town board has a decision-making responsibility.
