STRUCTURAL AND ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING
1. JSD understands that the Client will be the lead for the overall submittal package(s) to the
municipality. JSD will assist the Client by preparing materials for one (1) Building Plan submittal to
the municipality for plan approval to acquire a construction permit for proposed repair solutions.
2. The review of the 50% set during the Design Development phase will be used to lock in the building
footprint and primary framing for the Construction Document phase. Significant modifications to
the footprint of the building or floorplan after comments from the 50% review may result in revisions
the scope and fee.
3. The Client shall notify JSD of project schedule revisions prior to authorization of this proposal as it
closely relates to our scope of services outlined.
4. JSD shall be held harmless and does not warrant any deviations by the Client from the approved

5. Printing, plotting and reproduction costs, mileage, mailing, and distribution expenses are considered
a direct reimbursable expense. These items can be highly variable depending upon client needs, and
as such are not included in the listed fees. These costs will be broken out separately when invoiced
for ease of tracking.
6. This proposal assumes use of a design-bid-build delivery method. Design-build delivery impacts the
structural design process as scoped and would require modification of this contract.
7. Changes to project phasing will require a re-evaluation of this proposal.
8. Drawings will be prepared in Revit format and in conformance to the approved plan format of the
municipality.
9. Client/Contractor will be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits for structural repairs
identified in the scope of work.
10. The Client will provide safe and legal access to the property as required for JSD to properly complete
its work.
11. This proposal does not include the following:
a. Assistance or attendance at public meetings.
b. Preparation of contract front-end documents or separate technical specifications sections.
Specifications will be included on the construction drawings only.

design and permitting for grease interceptor systems.
d. Application and permit fees. Permit fees will be provided by the Client prior to submittal
of applications. Note: JSD is required to pay DSPS and WDNR NOI application fees at the
time of submittal. This cost will be submitted to the Client as a direct reimbursable
expense with a 10% processing markup.
e. Cost estimating services as it relates to proposed structural repairs.
f. Any services beyond those specifically discussed herein.
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
1. Construction observation is not intended to be an exhaustive check or detailed inspection of the
Contractor’s work but rather to allow JSD, as experienced professionals, to become generally familiar
with the work in progress and to determine, in general, if the work is proceeding in accordance with
the Contract/Construction Documents. Based upon this general observation, JSD will inform the
Client about the progress of the work.
2. JSD will not supervise, direct, or have control over any contractors’ work, nor shall JSD have any
responsibility for the construction means, methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures selected
or performed by the Contractor or for the Contractor’s safety procedures or programs in connection
with the work. These responsibilities are solely by the Contractor in accordance with the Contract
Documents.

guarantee the performance by the Contractor and shall not be responsible for the Contractor’s
failure to perform work in accordance with Contract Documents or any applicable laws, codes, rules,
or regulations.

services. After submittal to the municipality, JSD will provide revisions based on review comments by the
municipality pertaining to technical discrepancies only. Any revisions requested due to review comments

Subject: Goose round-up 2026
Potential Goose Round-up Participant,
The goose round-up season is coming soon, please begin surveying your
location to get an idea of the number of geese you may have for this
year to see if a round-up is warranted. We require at least 40 birds for
us to consider coming for a round-up. If you have the required number
of birds and would like us to come to conduct a removal in 2026, please
let me know by Wednesday June 3rd at the latest. I also need to know
accurately how many birds are at your site to ensure we have enough
space available on our trailer.
A flat fee of $3,500 will be charged to cover costs of capture and
removal costs. Donating meat from adult birds is an option this year. To
donate the meat additional contaminant testing costs would be involved
for most sites. Contaminant testing costs rose to $185/per test for 2026,
and this will add a minimum of $925 to the cost of the round-up.
(Testing is required for 10% of the adults captured with a minimum of
five tests at a cost of $185/per test). Additional costs if PCB testing is
required at your site.
I’ve attached the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources permit
application that authorizes the round-ups. Return the application only if
you are planning to go forward with a round-up at your location, only
complete all portions of Section 1. The permit application should be
emailed or mailed back to me in Waupun (address below). My email
address is: Michael.L.Jones@usda.gov
Wildlife Services requires that you locate geese prior to our arrival on
the day of capture and guide us to those birds both on water and by
land. Wildlife Services staff cannot trespass to catch geese and are only
allowed to capture birds on properties for which we have written
permission. Property permissions need to be signed and identified on a
map prior to the round-up so we have multiple location options of
capturing the birds. Your site will need to maintain those permission
slips and have them with you when we arrive. I have attached an
example of a property permission slip that suits this requirement that
you can customize to your location. Geese often like to use the same
properties every year so having permission on those preferred sites is
