PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE May 26 , 202 6 6: 45 pm PRESENT : Alderpersons Rusniak, Kirley, and Turchi ALSO PRESENT : City Administrator Steve Volkert, City Clerk Shanna Kreilkamp , and City Engineer Chris Walter . Call to Order – Alderperson Rusniak called the meeting to order at 6: 45 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers of Hartford City Hall, 109 North Main Street. Public Comment Period – No public comment. Discussion and Consideration in support of improving state funding for transportation . - City Engineer Walter stated that with rising road construction costs the League of Wisconsin Municipalities is urging all communities to pass a Resolution of support asking the Governor and State Legislators to enact a comprehensive, sustainable transportation funding solution that provides revenue growth for road maintenance. MOTION by Alderperson Turchi , seconded by Alderperson Kirley in support of improving state funding for transportation. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 202 6 City sidewalk repair/replacement program . - City Engineer Chris Walter went over the 2026 City Sidewalk Replacement Program and what sidewalks needed repair/replacement. MOTION by Alderperson Turchi, seconded by Alderperson Kirley approving the 2026 City sidewalk repair/replacement program.
