SPECIAL PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE April 1 4 , 202 6 6: 00 pm PRESENT : Alderpersons Garza, Kirley, Rusniak, and Turchi ALSO PRESENT : City Administrator Steve Volkert, City Clerk Shanna Kreilkamp , and City Engineer Chris Walter . Call to Order – Alderperson Garza called the meeting to order at 6: 00 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers of Hartford City Hall, 109 North Main Street. Public Comment Period – No public comment. Discussion and Consideration of a pproving Bid for Center Street Reconstruction. - City Engineer Chris Walter stated that three bids were received and the lowest qualified bidder was LaLonde Construction with a bid total of $635,688.76. MOTION by Alderperson Turchi , seconded by Alderperson Kirley for approving the Bid for Center Street Reconstruction. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. Discussion and Consideration to authorize the public bidding of the partial extension of Innovation Way from Western Drive, with an alternate bid option to include the entire roadway extension . - City Engineer Walter stated that the city has a vested interest in supporting development within the Industrial Park. He added that the Committee will be updated once public bids are received. MOTION by Alderperson Rusniak , seconded by Alderperson Kirley for authorizing the public bidding of the partial extension of Innovation Way from Western Drive, with an alternate bid option to include the entire roadway extension. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 2025 Annual Report for MS4 General Permit. - City Engineer Chris Walter informed the Committee that this report is required annually by the DNR. The purpose of this MS4 General Permit is to reduce pollutants in stormwater runoff by implementing stormwater management programs. City Engineer Walter reviewed the report and all the components of the annual report as well.
