1 RECYCLING COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS August 4 , 202 6 The Amery Recycling Committee met on August 4 , 202 6 , at the Amery City Center . The meeting was called to order at 3:30 p m . Presen t: Jason Bottolfson, Fran Duncanson and Tina Riley : Gloria Lansin arrive d @ 3:36 pm Others Present: Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, Lisa Gunderson Meeting called to order by Fran Duncanson Motion by Bottolfson, seconded by Riley ; to adopt the agenda as presented. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. Motion by Riley; seconded by Bottolfson ; to accept the minutes from 0 6 /0 2 /2026 as presented. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 1. Polk County Recycling Update : Tina Riley updated the committee on Polk County Fair and other activities that took place. 2. Electronic Recycling Event – October 22 nd is the date. Dynamic will drop 2 semi-trailers . Discussion was had on coordination of the site and the staff. Concern was raised about the hotel construction. 3. August Topi c – Garage Cleanout/Polk County Clean Sweep : Tina will supply information that it is no w all year round in Somerset and how to submit requests online. Discussion was had about doing a Facebook ad, possible newsletter and radio spot to promote . 4. September Topic – Plastics Recycling: Discussion was had about clarification on the numbers on the plastic that can be recycled and how to inform the public . 5.
