1 JOINT FIRE COMMITTEE June 8 , 2026 A meeting of the Joint Fire Committee met at the Amery City Center on: June 8 , 202 6 @ 5:0 0 p.m. Present: Supervisor Alan Carlson – Town of Lincoln; Town Chai r, Keith Karpenski – Town of Alde n , Supervisor , Jake Macholl – Town of Black Brook , Mayor Rick Van Blaricom – City of Amery, and Fire Chief, Chuck Frohn. Others Present: Clerk-Treasurer, Taylor Larson and City Administrator, Alex Mansfield Motion by Van Blaricom ; seconded by Carlson to adopt the agenda as present . Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion Carried. 1. Approval of Minutes from April 13 , 202 6 – The committee reviewed the minutes from the last meeting. Motion by Karpenski , seconded by Carlson ; to approve the minutes as written. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion Carried. 2. Chief ’s Report – Chief Frohn presented to the committee updates about the department and run numbers. T he committee members asked clarify questions about the report. 3. Review of Fire Chief Hiring Process – Administrator Mansfield reviewed the hiring process the City would be go ing through to hire a replacement Fire Chief with Chief Frohn ’s retirement date set for October 1 st . The process is intended to be an internal hiring process with scenarios and interview questions with the Council . The City has already been gathering feedback from department employees.
