TOWN OF PLOVER BOARD MEETING
OCTOBER 16, 2025
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Garbe called the meeting of the Town of Plover Town Board to order at 8:31 AM. Also
present were Supervisors Bentley, Firkus, Pingel, and Tuttle; and Clerk/Treasurer Weller.
2. CONTRACTING OF A TRACTOR WITH BOOM CUTTER AND OPERATOR FOR ROADSIDE CLEARING OF
OBSTRUCTIONS AND GROWTH:
Chairman Garbe shared information from his conversations with Arthur Serwe of Serwe Implement
Municipal Sales Co. LLC. The rental cost of a tractor and mulching head boom cutter is $4,600.00 for
forty hours, and an experienced operator is available the week of October 20 for an additional
$25.00 per hour. The mulching head should minimize flying debris, reducing or eliminating the
expense of an employee following behind the brushing equipment to clear the roads. The Town of
Plover will be responsible for tractor fuel and an insurance policy rider; there may also be extra
charges for delivery and operator lodging and meals.
Supervisor Bentley made the motion to authorize the rental of the tractor and mulching head
boom cutter with an operator for forty hours from Serwe Implement Municipal Sales Co. LLC, as
well as the payment of incidental operator lodging and meal expenses for four days, not to exceed
$7,000.00. Supervisor Tuttle seconded the motion, the question was called, and the motion
carried unanimously.
Chairman Garbe and Clerk/Treasurer Weller will supply a map that provides work direction for the
operator.
3. FUTURE MEETING DATES AND AGENDA ITEMS:
The next regular town board meeting is scheduled for October 29 at 6:00 PM.
4. ADJOURNMENT:
Supervisor Bentley made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:48 AM, Supervisor Tuttle
seconded, the question was called, and the motion carried unanimously.
Respectfully Submitted By:
Patricia Weller, Clerk/Treasurer
