1 TOWN OF PORT EDWARDS PUBLIC HEARING ON 2026 BUDGET MEETING MINUTES Date: November 26, 2025 Call to Order: Chairman Randy Moody called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Hall. The meeting began with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. Meeting Certification: This meeting has been properly posted (on the Town Hall door), as well as published on our website to notify the public of date, place, time, and agenda. Attendance: Chairman Randy Moody, Supervisors Tim Schmidt, Trevor Jensen, Treasurer Kathy Reese, Clerk Tracey Draper. There were also seven people present from the public. Agenda: Approve the agenda Review the 2026 budget and answer any questions Public Input Adjourn Motion was made by Schmidt and seconded by Jensen to approve the agenda. Motion carried. 2026 Budget: Time was given for the 7 residents to review the detailed budget. Questions were asked and answered. The biggest concern was the significant increase in the fire and ambulance services. Total cash and revenues for 2026 are estimated to be $970,598.94. There were no other questions from the public. Public input: Mention was made by a member of the public that it may be beneficial for the Town and surrounding Towns to form a coalition to manage the fire and ambulance services in the future. Another town member noted that in looking at the budget and expected increase in tax, the Town portion is very small in comparison to County, school, and technical college taxes.
