TOWN OF PORT EDWARDS BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING MEETING MINUTES Date: November 18th, 2024 Call to Order: Chairman Randy Moody called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. in the Town Hall. The meeting began with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. Meeting Certification: This meeting has been properly posted (on the Town Hall door as well as on our website) and published in the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune in order to notify the public of date, place, time, and agenda. Attendance: Chairman Randy Moody, Supervisors Tim Schmidt, Jeff O’Donnell, Treasurer Kathy Reese, Clerk Michelle Sorenson. There were also two people present from the public. Agenda: Approve the agenda Review the 2025 budget and answer any questions Public Input Adjourn Motion was made by O’Donnell and seconded by Schmidt to approve the agenda. Motion carried. 2025 Budget: Time was given for the two residents to review the detailed budget. Questions were asked and answered. The biggest concern was the significant drop seen in the spending on road repairs. That line item is seeing a drop in spending by 50%. 2025 will be a maintenance year for Town roads with no reconstructions planned. Total cash and revenues for 2025 are estimated to be $632,067.79. There were no other questions from the public. Public input: There was none. Adjourn: O’Donnell made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:39p.m. and Cary Smith seconded.
