Annual Budget Hearing Minutes - followed by Special Meeting of the Electors Sherry Town Hall November 12, 2024; Time: 6:30 P.M. George Lang called the 2025 Budget Hearing to order at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Attendance: Jeff Bean, Dick Becker, Linda Haas, George Lang, Sandra Lobner, David Richardson, Peggy Richardson, Chris Vetrone, Tammy Vetrone, Josh Weiler. a. Motion to enter into Special Budget Hearing i. Motion By: Peggy Richardson ii. Second by: David Richardson iii. Carried: yeas _10 nays 0 b. Proposed Budget for 2025 was handed out to the public. Budget categories and percentage changes over 2024 were presented and discussed. Appreciation of upgrades to Paradise Road, spots of ripples remain shared by Ms. Richardson. c. Motion to Adjourn the 2025 Budget Hearing at 6:41p.m. Motion By: Peggy Richardson Second by: Sandra Lobner Carried: yeas __10 nays 0 George R. Lang called the Special Meeting of the Electors to order at 6:42 p.m. a. Approve compensation for elected town officials for the next term of office as follows: Chairman - $50 per diem, unchanged. Board of Supervisors - $45 per diem, unchanged. Clerk - $800 per month; plus compensation for non-regular meetings at the rate set for town officers. The Clerk position is designated as part-time. Unchanged. Topic of increase will be considered at the next budget hearing if needed. The Nov 5, 2025, referendum for appointment of Clerk passed. A motion was made to authorize the Town Board to determine competitive compensation for the appointed Clerk. Treasurer - $500 per month; plus compensation for non-regular meetings at the rate set for town officers. The Treasurer position is designated as part-time. Current rate $500 per month, increased in 2023 from $400. Motion to approve: Peggy Richardson Second by: David Richardson Carried yeas __10 nays 0 b. Authorize the Town Board to hire the Town Officers as employees of the town and set the wages at $16.00 per hour for labor.
