Town of Sherry Regular Board of Supervisors Monthly Meeting Minutes May 14, 2024 The regular Town Board monthly meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Chairman Lang, Supervisor Bean, Supervisor Holtz, Clerk Lobner and Treasurer Haas present. Additions to the Agenda: Annual Financial Statement – Corrected. The minutes from the April 16, 2024 and May 7, 2024 Town Board of Supervisors meeting minutes reviewed and approved by a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried. The treasurer’s report was reviewed and approved with a motion by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz. Motion carried. Pay Bills: Bill review completed followed by a motion by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz to pay all bills inclusive of Harter Disposal. Clarification: Harter’s Disposal invoices at the beginning of each month. Await clarification on Blenker Sherry Sanitary District delinquent charges. Motion carried. Transfer Funds from Tax Savings to Checking: None. County Representative Report: No report. 2024 Board of Review: Held prior to this meeting. Roads / Bridges and Road Maintenance: • Road Bid Notice was published. Road Bid opening on June 11, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. • Road grading will begin after the next rain. Fairview Cemetery: Spring cleanup of the cemetery has begun. Auburndale High School students will be cleaning monuments the Week of May 20th. Recycling Center Update: • Haerter’s Disposal sends out invoices at the beginning of each month, for services that month. • New solid waste bags in circulation. Continue to use your old solid waste bags as they will be accepted. • Summer Recycling Hours: Wednesdays from May 29 - August 28 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in addition to Saturday regular business hours. • Annual recycling Town of Sherry Compliance Assurance Plan for 2024 signed. • Recycling Intergovernmental Agreement between Towns of Sherry and Milladore was signed by Milladore. A motion to sign the agreement by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz. A signed copy will be sent to Milladore. Motion carried. Land Use Coordination Plan Committee Update: Their last meeting was April 24 with ongoing review and updates. The public is encouraged to attend and provide input. Next meetings: May 22. All meetings will be posted and are at 6:00 p.m., at Sherry Town Hall. Additions to Agenda: • Annual Financial Statement: The 2023 Annual Statement corrected version was distributed. Correspondence and Other Updates: • Wood County Unit Meeting of WTA Fri May 17, 2024, Host: Town of Dexter • Sanitary Permit Application: Deb Bulgrin 2023 County Road N S reviewed and approved. • Review of 2024 Uniform Dwelling Code Program Performance Audit-Central WI Building Inspections • Flexible Facilities Program Grant Announcement • WTA Annual Convention, Holiday Inn Convention Center, Oct 6-8, 2024, in Stevens Point Public Input: Bev Peaslee is coordinating the December 20, 2024, Community Sing! She is requesting use of the town hall. A motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean for the rental fee to be waived. Motion carried. Schedule Future Meetings, as required: None. Future Agenda Items: Alcohol License Applications and Picnic Permit. Adjournment: There was a motion to adjourn by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried.
