Town of Sherry Regular Board of Supervisors Monthly Meeting Minutes February 20, 2024 The special Town Board meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Lang. Supervisor Bean, Supervisor Holtz, and Clerk Lobner present. Representative from ATC also present. Additions to the Agenda: None. ATC: GridForward: on February 13, Chairman Lang received a meeting request on proposed transmission line in the Town of Sherry. The meeting notice was posted and is open to the public. Today’s meeting was an overview of the American Transmission Company (ATC): GridForward proposed rebuild of the transmission line falls within the Town of Sherry, near the Arpin Substation. This is part of a much larger rebuild throughout the state of Wisconsin. ATC Transmission Line Rebuild includes Arpin Sub-Station Timeline: • Q1 2024 Public announcement • Q2-3 2024 Application filed with PSCW • 2025 Application decision from PSCW • 2026-2027 Pre-construction ground activities • 2027-2030 General construction • 2030 Project in service An informational mailing will be arriving soon. An in-person Open House style information meeting will be held on April 10 in Wisconsin Rapids. There will be a mailing to affected landowners in the near future.
