Town of Sherry Sealed Bid Opening Board of Supervisors Meeting Minutes May 31, 2023 The special Town Board meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Lang, Supervisor Bean, Supervisor Holtz, Clerk Lobner present. Sealed Bid Opening: Roadside mowing bid awarded to JJ Brush Cutting for $7,355 with a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried. Roadside brush cutting bid awarded to JJ Brush Cutting for $80 / hour with a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried. Dustproofing 38% calcium chloride bid awarded to Wisconsin Salt Solutions for $1.35 / gallon plus $.14 / gallon beet rust inhibitor, totaling $6500 with a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried. State spec ½ inch road base bid awarded to Becker Trucking and Excavating for $11.29 / ton with a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried. Shell rock bid awarded to Becker Trucking and Excavating for $8.05 / cu yds with a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried. Thermal patching bid was tentatively awarded to Solutionz for $20,900 with a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried. Supervisor Bean will contact Solutionz to re- evaluate Arpin-Sherry Road. Storage shed bid awarded to Eagle Construction, Inc for $192,000 with a motion by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz. Motion carried. Adjournment: There was a motion to adjourn by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. by Chairman Lang.
