Meeting Minutes Town of Remington Town Board Meeting March 3, 2026 The Town Board Meeting of the Town of Remington was called to order at 5:30 pm by Chairman Simonson. All members of the board were present, Clerk was present, Treasurer was absent. New Business Loan Application and Borrowing Resolution 2026-2 for Road Grader Purchase: There was discussion among the board members regarding the condition of the current grader attachment. The attachment is at the end of life. The steel is becoming very thin and there is not much that can be done to fix it at this time. Leasing a temporary replacement was discussed and it was determined that option would not be cost effective long term. A motion was made by T. Millard (supervisor) to go forward with the loan application to the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands for $50,000. There was a 2nd by T. Simonson (chairman). The loan paperwork was completed by the board. Votes by board members were as follows. Chairman Travis Simonson – Yes Supervisor Tammy Millard – Yes Supervisor Denise Ellis – Yes Town Ordinance Review: The remaining town ordinances were reviewed with possible corrections discussed. The clerk will type up these corrections and bring them back to the board for review before sending them to the town lawyer for legal review.
