Seneca Town Hall 3540 County Highway Q Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495 Regular Monthly Board Meeting (Minutes are not official until the Board approves them) January 8, 2024 The Town of Seneca Board met for a regular meeting on Wednesday,January 8, 2025 at the town hall. Dean Oilshlager called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m, opening with the Pledge of Allegiance. In attendance were Dean Oilschlager, Dave Carolfi, Tom Wolf, Sheila Grosskreutz, Janet Hohl, and Jackie Kitowski. Tom Wolf made a motion to accept the minutes from the December 4, 2024 regular monthly Board Meeting. Dave Carolfi seconded the motion. Motion carried. David Carolfi made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report for July and pay the bills brought before the board. Tom Wolf seconded the motion. Motion carried Public Input- Chairman received a call from a concerned constituent about a home with used appliances and other equipment around the property. Cordless phone needed for Town Hall . Due to concern about a person not being able to call out of Town Hall with a cell phone in case of an emergency. The board discussed getting quotes on a cordless phone. Correspondence 1. Tri-City Refrigeration sent the Town Board a calendar 2. The Public Service Commission sent a letter about an application for American Transmission Company constructing a pipeline along the existing one. 3. The Town received a Christmas card from the Wisconsin Rapids Mayor 4. The Town received a Christmas card from United Emergency Ambulance Service 5. A survey map was sent for a new survey done on Doug Pagel’s property. Road Work- None at this time Discussion of a place to hold the Wood County Unit meeting when it is our turn. Nekoosa Community Center has several different prices and the Board is looking into having our Wood County Unit meeting. Discussion to continue next .month. Discussion of Ring Doorbell Quote- $400-$500 to purchase the doorbell and have it installed. And then $5 a month for the subscription. Dave Carolfi made a motion to spend $500 to purchase a doorbell and have it installed. Tom Wolf seconded the motion. Motion carried. Register for District Meeting-from the Town - Dean, Tom, Dave, Jackie, and Sheila will be attending. Jackie will register the board for the meetings March 1 in Marshfield. Register for Convention Rooms -The town will need 5 rooms for the convention, Jackie will take care of that. The Town Board discussed transferring the annual $15,000 to the equipment fund. The Town Board discussed selling the old plow truck and the horse trailer on the Wisconsin Surplus Website. Adjourn – A motion was made by Dave Carolfi to adjourn the board meeting; seconded by Tom Wolf. Motion carried.
