1 TOWN OF PORT EDWARDS PUBLIC HEARING FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT MEETING MINUTES Date: May 13th, 2024 Call to Order: Chairman Randy Moody called the public hearing to order at 6:00p.m. The pledge of allegiance was recited to begin the meeting. Meeting Certification: This meeting has been properly posted (on the Town Hall door) as well as published on our website to notify the public of date, place, time, and agenda. Attendance: Chairman Randy Moody, Supervisors Tim Schmidt, Jeff O’Donnell, Treasurer Kathy Reese, Clerk Michelle Sorenson, and Road Superintendent Adam Lueneburg. There were also many people present from the public. Agenda: Approve the agenda Present on Back Forty Studios LLC who has applied for a conditional use permit Public input Act on the conditional use permit application Adjourn Motion was made by O’Donnell and seconded by Schmidt to approve the agenda. Motion carried. Presentation: Kevin Evans who owns Back Forty Studios LLC, was not present for the public hearing. Chairman Moody gave a summary of the business. It is a music recording studio located at 3743 State Highway 54 West. It was built to help aspiring singers and musicians. The conditions of the permit were read aloud. The floor was opened for questions and/or comments and there were none. Action: O’Donnell made a motion to approve the conditional use permit if Kevin Evans is willing to agree to the stipulations listed on it. Schmidt seconded the motion and the motion carried. The board signed the permit and the clerk will contact Kevin to set up a meeting for his signature and payment. Adjourn: Being no other business to conduct, Schmidt made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:04p.m. and O’Donnell seconded. All were in favor and the motion carried.
