Village of Whiting Public Works and Parks Committee Meeting Minutes Tuesday May 26, 2026 Village of Whiting Municipal Center 3600 Water St., Stevens Point, WI, 54481 Meeting called to order at 6:00 pm by Chairperson Mike Kaczmarek 1. Roll call. Members present: Trustee(s) Mike Kaczmarek, Ben Lasecki, Troy Hojnacki; citizen member(s) Danny Farley, Sarah Brillowski. Also present: Bill Taugner (Village President), Jacob Wilcox (Director of Public Works) and other Village resident(s). 2. Pledge of Allegiance was conducted. 3. Minutes of March 24, 2026, were discussed. Motion made by Farley and seconded by Brillowski to approve the minutes. Motion was approved. Kaczmarek, Farley and Brillowski voted yes. Lasecki and Hojnacki abstained. Public comment may be permitted on the following agenda items. 4. Discussion/possible action regarding Sherman Avenue Reconstruction Project. Status of the project was discussed. Motion made by Lasecki and seconded by Hojnacki to include the Green Circle Trail gravel swale crossing and associated culvert in the Sherman Avenue reconstruction project and allow the Green Circle Trail to utilize the Village right-of-way to connect to the existing parking lot with all expenses to be paid for by the Green Circle Trail Committee. Motion was approved by unanimous vote. 5. Discussion/possible action regarding request for proposal of residential solid waste and recycling services. Motion made by Lasecki and seconded by Hojnacki to forward the Request for Solid Waste and Recycling Services Proposal to the Village Board. Motion was approved by unanimous vote. 6. Operations and Maintenance Report. No action required. 7. Motion made by Lasecki and seconded by Hojnacki to adjourn. Motion was approved by unanimous vote. Adjourned at 6:21 pm.
