BOR 5 pm — Minutes

Village of Whiting Board of Review Minutes May 21, 2026 Village President Bill Taugner called Board of Review to order at 5 pm. The meeting was held at the Whiting Municipal Center, 3600 Water Street. Roll Call was taken. Board members present were Troy Hojnacki, Mike Kaczmarek, Ben Lasecki, Kevin Lutz, and Bill Taugner. Trustees Trzebiatowski and Stroik were absent (excused). Also present were Assessor Jeremy Kurtzweil and Clerk/Treasurer Pam Filtz. Mike Kaczmarek was nominated and assumed the role of Chairperson and Ben Lasecki was nominated and assumed the role of Co-Chair. It was verified that Mike Kaczmarek complied with the mandatory training requirements under 70.46(4), Wis Stats. Assessor Jeremy Kurtzweil indicated that there was a property owner who attended the Open Book and all adjustments were made to the assessment role. There were no residents in attendance during the mandatory two-hour Board of Review. Board of Review was adjourned and closed at 7 pm as motioned and seconded by Trustee Kaczmarek and Trustee Lasecki respectively. Pam Filtz, Clerk-Treasurer
