Village of Whiting Personnel Committee Minutes Village of Whiting Municipal Center 3600 Water St., Stevens Point WI 54481is Thursday, March 5, 2026 – 1:00 p.m. 1. Roll Call: Meeting was called to order by Chairman Kurt Glenzer at 1:00 p.m. Present were committee members Ben Lasecki and Karen Curtis. Also, present was Village President Bill Taugner and Utilities Supervisor Jacob Wilcox. 2. Approval of January 23, 2026 meeting minutes: Motion by Curtis, seconded by Lasecki to approve minutes of the January 23, 2026 Personnel Committee meeting. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Motion by Lasecki, seconded by Curtis to enter closed session pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(c); Wis. Statutes for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the government body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. With the purpose being to fill the Utilities Operator vacancy. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. 4. Motion by Curtis, seconded by Lasecki to reconvene in open session. Motion carried unanimously. 5. Discussion/possible action regarding extra tine and pay approval for needed coverage for Will Verstegen. Discussion was held. Motion by Curtis, seconded by Glenzer to approve time and a half pay on weekends for hours worked. Motion carried unanimously. 6. Adjournment. Motion by Lasecki, seconded by Curtis to adjourn.
