Special Board Meeting — Minutes

May 27, 2025 - Town of Eau Pleine Special Board Meeting - APPROVED Attendance Elected Officials Present: Chairperson Kurt Drexler, Supervisor Leif Erickson, Supervisor Wayne Trelka, Clerk Stacy Martin Elected Officials Excused: Treasurer Sue Stroik Others Present: None 1. The meeting was called to order at 8:07am by Chairperson Drexler. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 2. Chairperson Drexler acknowledged the single agenda item of hiring a cleaner for the Town Hall. Clerk Martin explained that currently there is only one application on file for the cleaning position and it is her own application. Martin would like to be hired by the Board as a Town employee to clean the Town Hall temporarily, until either the position can be filled permanently by a future applicant or by a cleaning professional under contract with the Town. Supervisor Erickson explained that he would like to hire Clerk Martin for the cleaning position because she is aware of when the Town Hall needs to be cleaned according to when meetings and events are scheduled to occur. Supervisor Trelka agreed to hire Martin today and keep the cleaning position posted for future applicants or contracted cleaning professionals. Motion by Supervisor Erickson to approve the application of Stacy Martin for the part-time cleaning position. Seconded by Supervisor Trelka. 3 ayes / 0 nays. Motion carried. 3. Announcements: The next Town Board Meeting will be on June 11, 2025. Supervisor Trelka will not be present. 4. With no further questions or concerns from the Board or the public – Motion by Supervisor Erickson to pay bills and adjourn. Seconded by Supervisor Trelka. 3 ayes / 0 nays. Motion carried.
