TOWN OF BURKE 2019 BOARD OF REVIEW MINUTES Thursday, August 22, 2019 6:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, 5365 Reiner Rd., Madison WI 53718 1) The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. 2) It was stated for the record that Board members Viney, Nimmow, Stieren and Berg were present. 3) Appoint a Chair. Motion: Berg/Nimmow to appoint Viney as Chair. 4) It was stated for the record that Steve Berg completed the required training on May 7, 2018. 5) Saxon reviewed the 2019 law changes. 6) The Assessment Roll was received by Saxon from the Assessor. 7) Saxon stated for the record that the assessment roll has been received and is signed by the Assessor. 8) Examine the roll and verify open book changes are included. Members were offered a copy of the previous year’s roll to compare. 9) Consideration of waivers of the 48 hour notice of intent to file an objection. None. 10) Hear objections if waivers are given. None. 11) State rules: proceedings are taped, speak clearly, identify self when speaking, hearings are conducted similar to a court of law, evidence is presented through sworn oral testimony and cross examination of witnesses. No one appeared. 12) Hold hearings/deliberations and findings of fact. None 13) Adjourn. Motion: Berg/Stieren to adjourn. Motion carried.
