Motion by Arndt/Skelton to approve agenda as presented. Carried by unanimous voice vote. Approval of Minutes - July 16, 2025 - Motion by Skelton/Arndt to approve minutes as presented. Carried by unanimous voice vote. Alcohol, Tobacco, and Operator Licenses received for town board approval: “CLASS B” (Combination Liquor & Beer- on premises) Original application for: Nelson Family Ventures LLC (Tap That Inn The Pines Barcade & Grill), 1617 Highway 13, Friendship, WI. Submitted by: Aron Nelson, agent. Motion by Arndt/Skelton to approve the license to be issued for Nelson Family Ventures, LLC to expire June 30, 2026. Carried by unanimous voice vote. Adams County Planning & Zoning - Amendments Summary - Information provided to review at a future meeting. 2025 Road Construction Project Update - Chairman Arndt provided an update on road construction projects. Discussion and possible action for roads to apply for LRIP grants - Board will schedule a working meeting to review roads and develop a recommendation to present at a future meeting. Road Maintenance - Road Tree Cutting proposal - Chairman Arndt and Supervisor Skelton provided information on the need for tree trimming for the Town. Proposal information provided and after discussion a Motion by Arndt/Skelton to approve contracting with a professional tree cutting service for up to $12,000 (3 Days). The Board authorized Supervisor Skelton to execute the agreement and manage the project. Carried by unanimous voice vote. Road Maintenance - Bridge Weed Control - Supervisor Skelton provided information from DNR for weed control. Recommended to obtain additional information to determine a solution in 2026. Update on Cemetery and Town Hall Property - No additional updates. Surveyor scheduled and meeting to be scheduled with neighbors. Department and District Reports - no actions required. Information only. Big Roche-A-Cri Lake District - Al Arndt Friendship Lake District - Al Arndt Adams County Solid Waste - Al Arndt Adams County Fire District - Marcus Skelton EMS Lifestar Ambulance - Marcus Skelton Sheriff Report - Marcus Skelton Town of Preston Transfer Site - Al Arndt - Update on progress of installation of security cameras. Decided the brush pile is at capacity and needs to limit and close access until winter burns. Highway Maintenance Department - Al Arndt - Reviewed quotes to complete generator and motion lights for maintenance building. Correspondence Received - correspondence and information provided. No actions needed. Guest update - County Board Supervisors; Danny Shelton provided updates and answered questions. Set next meeting date and agenda items - September 17, 2025 Treasurer’s Report & Payment of Bills - Motion by Arndt/Skelton to approve and file the treasurer's report and pay the bills.
