TOWN OF LEOLA Dave Roberts, Chairman 715-213-9677 Greg Sager, Supervisor 715-323-3254; Bruce Duellman 414-640-6899 Town website at www.townofleolawi.com TOWN BOARD MEETING Town Hall, 170 Apache Lane Wednesday February 11th, 2026 At 6:00pm Minutes Call to order 6:00 PM Pledge of Allegiance Approve minutes of January 15th, 2026-Bruce Duellman makes a motion to accept minutes Greg Sagor second the motion Citizen input- Peggy Heuer, on the bids for 6th there is an alternative bid for 3rd why are we adding that to the bid because we never discussed it being a possibility and would we need we need to take out a bigger loan. Chairman David Roberts stated that it was discussed it multiple times. Nothing was planned we wanted to see what the bids were since they were already in the area. We would possibly get a price cut since they were already in the area doing the asphalt. Peggy Heuer also had a question on the bump on 6th Ave. She was wondering if the road bump was caused by there being no ditch there. Chairman Dave Roberts that he talked to Scott form Snyder & Associates the engineer. Scott said we may need to dig down more and that we may need to dig a wider patch of the road. Peggy Heuer on the grading is on the agenda. Last year it happened a couple of times we graded 6th after it rained and the road was great then when it was dry out, we graded again. Chairman Dave Roberts said that there are many reasons for grading the roads. First its maintenance to remove traffic hazards, weed control. Jeff Ahlborn asked if anyone is researching if there are any grants for roads? Chairman Dave Roberts states there is nothing out there right now. Skeeter is particularly good at looking for grants. New Business: Discussion with possible action-Putting bids out for grading town roads. Chairman Dave Roberts stated that our 3-year contract is ending and asks to place a Bids out for grading the roads. Supervisor Bruce Duellman asked what papers it would be placed in. Chairman Dave Roberts stated that we have been using Adams Friendship Reporter. Supervisor Bruce Duellman asked if we can do multiple papers. The Bid will be placed in Wisconsin Rapids, Argus, and Adams Friendship papers. Bruce Duellman makes a motion to put it in 3 papers and Greg Sager seconded. Discussion with possible action- Adams Columbia consent Bruce Duellman makes motion to approve the Adams Columbia consent. Greg Sager seconded the motion. Discussion with possible action-Operator License for Ayla Miller Chairman Dave Roberts asked if Ayla passed the background check. Clerk Skeeter Fahser stated that the background check came back free and clear. Bruce Duellman makes a motion to approve the operator license Greg Sager seconded.
