Planning Commission Minutes Town of Weyauwega American Legion – 303 N Mill St, Weyauwega WI 54983 Thursday Oct 24, 2024 6:00 pm Agenda details: 1. Call to Order a. Chairmen/John Neuman called to order the meeting of the Planning Commission at 6:02 pm on Oct 24, 2024, at the Town Hall/American Legion. 2. Roll Call a. Planning Commission Members: Chairman/John Neuman conducted roll call. The following persons were present: Chairman/John Neuman, Member/Tom Gettendorf, Member/ Jeff Dyer and Member/Jack Jansen. b. Public: Gabriel Rojas, Gisell Martinez and Dave Stelzner 3. Appoint Clerk a. Chairman/John Neuman appointed Sonia Thede-Kramer as clerk to take notes and minutes. 4. Gabriel Rojas Aguilar Conditional Use Permit – Animal Unit a. Discussion & Hearing: Chairman/John Neuman opened the discussion to Gabriel Rojas. Gabriel Rojas advised the board that they did not realize there was a certain number of animals they could have on the property. They have 1 horse, 1 miniature horse and 30 chickens. They are down to 20 chickens. Chairman/John Neuman explained there is an allowable number of animals a property can have, this property is only allowed 1.8 animal units, but they have 2.8 animal units. Member/Tom Gettendorf asked if there was a complaint from any of the neighbors. Gabriel Rojoas advised Jerad Wilson was going to build a shed near the property line, but noticed their shed was near the property line so decided to move his to a different area. The shed has been on the Rojas property for more than 10 years. Jerad Wilson did not have a problem with shed or the animals. Member/Tom Gettendorf asked how long he owned property, Gabriel Rojas advised 2.5 years. Member/Jack Jansen how long Jerad Wilson purchased the neighboring property, Chairman/John Neuman stated purchased 2021. Chairman/John Neuman asked Clerk/Sonia Thede-Kramer if any other neighboring residences called about the animals. She received a phone call from Della Busse and her concern was if there was enough room for the animals, crowding. Board went over the list of neighbors. Gabriel Rojas stated the chickens with 3 roasters are all caged, they do not run free around the yard. 5. Vote/Recommendation to Town of Weyauwega Board a. Motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit and recommend it to be presented to the Town of Weyauwega by Member/Larry Shoffner, seconded by Member/Jeff Dyer, all ayes, motion carried. 6.
