May 12, 2025 Minutes

1 Minutes of the May 12, 2025 Regular Monthly Meeting Town of Matteson, Waupaca Cty., Wisc. Present: DuWayne Federwitz, Greg Hanson, Mark Schuster, Patti Hill and Mike Mehlberg. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman Federwitz. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all, and the Open Meeting Statement was read by Federwitz. Motion was made by Hanson and seconded by Schuster to approve the agenda. Roll call was taken: Federwitz, yes; Hanson, yes; Schuster, yes. Motion carried. It is noted that one citizen was present with no comments. Motion was made by Hanson and seconded by Schuster to approve the minutes of the April 14, 2025 Regular Monthly Meeting. Roll call was taken: Federwitz, yes; Hanson, yes; Schuster, yes. Motion carried. After review, a motion was made by Federwitz and seconded by Hanson to accept the April 2025 Treasurer’s Report as presented. Roll call was taken: Federwitz, yes; Hanson, yes; Schuster, yes. Motion carried. After review, a motion was made by Hanson and seconded by Schuster to approve a temporary picnic license for the Belle Plaine Sportman’s Banquet to be held May 31, 2025. Roll call was taken: Federwitz, yes; Hanson, yes; Schuster, yes. Motion carried. It is noted that all bills were approved and paid. Reports: Town Facilities and Grounds: Nothing. Zoning: Farmland Preservation was approved at the County. CAWS: No meeting. Fire Department: No meeting. Ambulance: Theresa Huss has resigned. Cliff Peterson is the new Director. There were 101 calls in April which is up two year over year. 2 Comprehensive Planning: Nothing. County Board: Several department updates were given. The County Board meets at the Waupaca County Fairgrounds and will be for a few more years while the courthouse is being remodeled. Animal Control: Nothing. Roads: Board reviewed the report from the recent road inspection. In 2025 Hanson Road will be completed. Fly Inn Road will be improved to some extent which is not yet determined, and the quarter mile of Bodoh Road that needs blacktopping will be completed. Motion was made by Hanson to adjourn.
