Town of Taft Minutes to Monthly Meeting Aug. 18, 2026 Condolences to the Robert Baker Family and the Bruce Ewing Family The Aug. meeting of the Town Board was called to order at 7:16pm. All the members were present. Verification of Postings: Website, Town Hall, Otter Lake Bait Aug. 17, 2026 There was a motion from Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve and pay all current bills. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. There was a motion from Del Kroeplin, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski, to approve the minutes of the July 2026 general monthly meeting notes with changes. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. There was a motion from Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve the treasures report for the month of July 2026. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Driveway/Culvert Permit: A refund for Right-A-Way use was issued to Kevin Kurth/Diane Samplowski for $200. Road Maintenance: LSSIP Structure V600013 Approval – Engineering Section: There was a motion by Del Kroeplin, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski to approve hiring SEH as the engineering firm should the township decide to accept the 90% grant that was awarded in the amount of $537,386.85. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. ARIP –Received new paperwork from SEH regarding option on the Skyline Drive Project. We have scheduled a Zoom meeting with Aliegh from SEH on Aug. 28th @ 10AM regarding these changes.
