Town of Taft Minutes to Monthly Meeting May 12, 2026 The May meeting of the Town Board was called to order at 7:14pm. All the members were present accept Lori who was excused. Verification of Postings: Website, Town Hall, Otter Lake Bait May 11, 2026 There was no review or approval of bills. There was no reading of the previous month’s meeting There was a motion from Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve the treasures report for the month of Apr. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Driveway/Culvert Permit. We received 2 applications and fees. Kevin and Falon Immormino There was a motion from Del Kroeplin, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski, to approve of allowing our treasurer to send Superior Choice Credit Union our present financial provider, a letter informing them that we would be closing all our accounts and moving money to a different financial institution. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Reminder to publish Alcohol/Tobacco Licensing in the Thorp News Paper. Road Maintenance: There was a motion by Del Kroeplin, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski to approve Taylor County applying Calcium Chloride to Meridian Dr. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. There was a motion by Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve culvert replacements. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. There was a motion by Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve hiring Ovyn to bring gravel and granite to approved areas, keeping the amount below $25,000. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. There was a motion by Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve SEH completing the application for Artificial Wetland Exemption to the DNR. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Recycling: Dumpsters have still not been moved back to original placement.
