Town of Taft Minutes to Monthly Meeting Aug 12, 2025 The Aug meeting of the Town Board was called to order at 7pm. All the members were present. Verification of Postings: Website, Town Hall, Otter Lake Bait Aug. 11, 2025 There was a motion from Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve and pay all current bills. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. There was a motion from Del Kroeplin, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski, to approve the minutes of the July 2025 monthly meeting. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. There was a motion from Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve the treasures report for the month of June. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Lana explained the facts and information regarding the $4,165.94 fraudulent scam that happened. This issue is in the hands of the Taylor County Police Department. There was a motion from Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve the treasures report for the month of July. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Driveway/Culvert Permit. Nothing at this time. Road Maintenance: There was a motion by Del Kroeplin, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski to approve having Affordable Road Service come and do brushing along the roads. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Chairman Darrell Thompson called Slobodnics to order gravel/granite but has not received a call back. Since we have given them ample time to respond to our call. Darrell will call Ovyn and see if we can order gravel/granite from them. Recycling is going well.
