Town of Iola Iola, Wisconsin Bruce Faldet, Supervisor Mark Sprangers, Chairman Steve Madson, Clerk Josh Franchuk, Supervisor Denis Walter, Treasurer Budget Hearing A public hearing to consider the 2026 Town of Iola budget was held November 17, 2025. The hearing was called to order at 6:00 by Chairman Sprangers. In attendance were – Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter, Steve Madson and Justin Moen. Clerk Madson distributed copies of the budget. The proposed budget has a $1,522 increase to the 2025 Tax Levy. The proposed budget calls for a balanced budget of revenues and expenses. There was a brief discussion on the presented budget. Adjourned at 6:05pm. Special Meeting A special meeting of the Iola Township was held on November 17, 2025. The meeting was called to order at 6:05 pm by Chairman Sprangers. In attendance were Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter, Steve Madson and Justin Moen. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to increase the 2025 Tax Levy by $1,522 to $195,347. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:10 pm Regular Meeting – November 17, 2025 Chairman Sprangers called the meeting to order at 6:10pm Board Members present were: Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter and Steve Madson. Also attending Justin Moen, Dave Loken and Chad Bestul (on Phone). Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the agenda for the meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the minutes from the October Meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion at it carried. Public Comments: None Old Business – Roads/Bridges – No new updates Plow Truck – Dave Loken from Rural Insurance was present to discuss and answer questions the board had on insuring the plow truck. Chad Bestul from Bestul Excavating was on the phone to give his input as well. After discussion the board gave direction on insuring the vehicle. New Business – 1. 2026 Budget – After a brief discussion Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the 2026 budget as presented. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. 2. Clerk/Supervisor 2 positions – Supervisor Faldet made a motion to accept the resignations of Josh Franchuk (Supervisor 2) and Steve Madson (Clerk) effective January 1, 2026. Chairman Sprangers seconded the motion and it carried. 3. December Meeting – Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to move the December meeting to Monday December 22nd, 2025 due to the holidays. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. 4. Election Workers – Clerk Madson provided a list of poll workers for 2026. List is attached. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the list. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Clerk Madson informed the Board of a Shoreland Permit for Fred Schlicher for a patio and walkway and two retaining walls. Audit of the town books was done by Supervisor Faldet and Supervisor Franchuk. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to pay the monthly bills. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried.
