Town of Iola Iola, Wisconsin www.townofiola.com Bruce Faldet, Supervisor Mark Sprangers, Chairman Steve Madson,Clerk Josh Franchuk, Supervisor Denis Walter, Treasurer Plan Commission Meeting September 29, 2025 Chairman Sprangers called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Plan Commission members present – Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Mark Forseth, Mark Doll and Loren Johnson Also present – Josh Franchuk, Steve Madson, Denis Walter, Adam Landsverk, Rocky Landsverk, Rick Ertl, George VanZeeland and Oscar Knoeck. RDA Hunt Club had applied for and received a land use permit for a dwelling greater than 22 feet in width. Construction of the dwelling however ended up not including a portion of the project that would make the structure greater than 22 feet in width. Under this scenario they must now seek a conditional use permit. Mark Forseth Chairman of the Plan Commission asked RDA to give a timeline and explanation of what they are seeking. Adam Landsverk explained what they are looking to do as well as how this came about. After discussion, Forseth made a motion to approve the permit. Loren Johnson seconded the motion and it was approved to move on to the Town Board. Regular Meeting Chairman Sprangers called the meeting to order at 6:15pm Board Members Present – Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter and Steve Madson. Others attending – Mark Doll, Mark Forseth, Loren Johnson, Rocky Landsverk, Adam Landsverk, Rick Ertl, and George VanZeeland. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the agenda for the meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the minutes from the August meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Public Comments: Loren Johnson appreciated the tree trimming that has been done on Wasrud Rd. Old Business: 1.Roads – No new updates 2. Snow Plow Truck – The board is looking to purchase a truck for snow Plowing the town roads. Chairman Sprangers the truck is a 2007 Sterling from Eau Claire Mack Sales. After a brief discussion Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to purchase the vehicle. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. New Business: RDA Hunt Club Conditional Use Permit. After a brief discussion Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the permit. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and the permit was approved. Clerk Madson informed the board of a Land Use Permit for Ronald and Linda Schneider for a family dwelling and garage. Also, a Land Use Permit and Building permit for David Seitz for a dwelling and garage. Approval of the town books was done by Supervisor Franchuk and Supervisor Faldet. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to pay the monthly bills. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
