Town of Iola Iola, Wisconsin www.townofiola.com Bruce Faldet, Supervisor Mark Sprangers, Chairman Steve Madson, Clerk Josh Franchuk, Supervisor Denis Walter, Treasurer Regular Meeting – April 28, 2025 Chairman Sprangers called the meeting to order at 6:05 pm Board Members Present – Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter and Steve Madson. Also – Rick Ertl, Chris Piotrowski, John Dalton and Merle Ruenger. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the agenda for the meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the minutes from the March monthly meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Public Comments: Chris Piotrowski attended and asked the board if more information could be placed on the letter head for the notices. Merle Ruenger asked the township about trimming trees on the roads. He would like to see some trimming done on Goli Rd. The town will look into what we can do. John Dalton lives on County Rd J but complimented the town for the tree trimming that has been done on town roads. Old Business: Roads/Tree Trimming/Snow Plowing – Chairman Sprangers presented the Pavement Maintenance and Preservation quotes from Scott Construction. After discussion – Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the quotes as presented. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. New Business: a) Cemetery – the board accepted the proposal from Ryan Borntrager to mow the cemetery in 2025. b) May Meeting – Supervisor Faldet approved moving the May meeting to Monday, May 19 th due to Memorial Day. Supervisor Franchuk seconded the motion and it carried. Clerk Madson informed the board of the following – Cutting notices for John Guillen and Donovan Langdok. Land Use Permit for Jeff & Lisa Johnson for a roof over a patio/deck and for a pole shed. Building Permit for Ray Shilter for a new residence and a shed. Approval of the town books was done by Supervisor Faldet and Supervisor Franchuk. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to pay the monthly bills. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried.
