Town of Iola Iola, Wisconsin Bruce Faldet, Supervisor Mark Sprangers, Chairman Steve Madson, Clerk Josh Franchuk, Supervisor Denis Walter, Treasurer Budget Hearing A public hearing to consider the 2025 Town of Iola budget was held November 18, 2024. The hearing was called to order at 6:00 by Chairman Sprangers. In attendance were – Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter, Steve Madson and Oscar Knoeck. Clerk Madson distributed copies of the budget. The proposed budget has a $2,841 increase to the 2024 Tax Levy. The proposed budget calls for a balanced budget of revenues and expenses. There was a brief discussion on the presented budget. Adjourned at 6:05pm. Special Meeting A special meeting of the Iola Township was held on November 18, 2024. The meeting was called to order at 6:05 pm by Chairman Sprangers. In attendance were Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter and Steve Madson. Also present Oscar Knoeck. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to increase the 2024 Tax Levy by $2,841 to $193,825. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:10 pm Regular Meeting – November 18, 2024 Chairman Sprangers called the meeting to order at 6:10pm Board Members present were: Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter and Steve Madson. Also attending Oscar Knoeck.. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the agenda for the meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the minutes from the October Meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion at it carried. Public Comments: Oscar Knoeck attended the meeting. He asked if a speed limit sign could be placed on Lake Shore Drive. Chairman Sprangers will check on it. Old Business – Roads/Bridges – Snow plowing is all set for this season. New Business – 1. 2025 Budget – After a brief discussion Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the 2025 budget as presented. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. 2. December Meeting – Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to move the December meeting to Monday December 23rd, 2024 due to the holidays. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. 3. Election Workers – Clerk Madson provided a list of poll workers for 2025. List is attached. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the list. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Clerk Madson informed the Board of a cutting notice for Charles Peterson Audit of the town books was done by Supervisor Faldet and Supervisor Franchuk. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to pay the monthly bills. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
