Town of Iola Iola, Wisconsin www.townofiola.com Bruce Faldet, Supervisor Mark Sprangers, Chairman Steve Madson, Clerk Josh Franchuk, Supervisor Denis Walter, Treasurer Regular Meeting – August 26, 2024 Chairman Sprangers called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm Board Members Present – Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter and Steve Madson. Also present – John Burleson Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the agenda for the meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the minutes from the July monthly meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Public Comments: John Burleson from the Iola Recycling Center attended the meeting to fill the board in any changes or to answer any questions. Old Business: Roads/Tree Trimming – The Town’s attorney completed his research on the service to be provided to do the tree trimming along the roads. In his opinion it does qualify as an obligation as defined by the rules and laws governing the use of SLFRF funds. The board approved the cutting/trimming agreement with Swenson Logging. The ARPA funds will be obligated to cover the costs of the tree trimming. New Business: None Clerk Madson informed board of Land Use Permit for Jessica Lewis & Kay Ladwig for an accessory structure. Shoreland Permits for Robert & Wendy Diedrich for a log cabin, porches, Accessory garage; Jeffery & Ashley Lautenslager for a principal structure; CB Kids Accessory structure; Charles Jones structural alterations to dwelling; William & Wendy Rouse Andrzejszak accessory structure. Building Permits – Jim Vandenberg shed; Jeff Lautenslager New structure; Pat Gambsky shed; Kelly Peterson electric upgrade; Jessica Lewis accessory structure. Cutting Notices – Northland Lutheran Church and Wall Family Trust. MFL Orders – Cheryl Sweeney & Paul Seitz Approval of the town books was done by Supervisor Faldet and Supervisor Franchuk. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to pay the monthly bills. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
