Town Board — Minutes

Town of Iola Iola, Wisconsin Bruce Faldet, Supervisor Mark Sprangers, Chairman Steve Madson, Clerk Josh Franchuk, Supervisor Denis Walter, Treasurer . Regular Meeting – April 25, 2022 Chairman Sprangers called the meeting to order at 6:05 pm. Board Members present were: Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter and Steve Madson. Also present Rick Ertl Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the agenda for the meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the minutes from the March meeting, Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Public Comments: Rick Ertl attended the meeting to introduce himself as the newly elected County Supervisor for District 7, Ward 2 in the Town of Iola. He discussed the committees he has been assigned. Old Business – None New Business – A. Roads – Supervisor Faldet gave a report on the condition of the town roads. All are in good shape. The board discussed the maintenance schedule for 2022. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the road maintenance schedule for 2022. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. B. Board of Review – an ordinance was needed to have Loren Johnson be an alternate for the 2022 Board of Review. Supervisor Faldet made a motion to approve the ordinance, Supervisor Franchuk seconded the motion and it carried. Chairman Sprangers gave a report on the fire and ambulance meeting he attended. The 2% dues will be paid differently this year. Chief Barden discussed a new fire truck. Clerk Madson informed the board of as cutting notice for Dave Glodowski. Building permits for Trace Sorenson and Tom Nelson. Shoreland permits for John Fox and Tom Nelson. The May monthly meeting will be held on Monday, May 23rd due to the Memorial Day holiday. Audit of the town books was done by Supervisor Faldet and Supervisor Franchuk. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to pay the monthly bills. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
