Town of Iola Iola, Wisconsin www.townofiola.com Bruce Faldet, Supervisor Mark Sprangers, Chairman Steve Madson,Clerk Josh Franchuk, Supervisor Denis Walter, Treasurer Plan Commission Meeting September 28, 2020 Chairman Doll called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Plan Commission members present – Mark Sprangers, Mark Forseth, Mark Doll, Loren Johnson, and Clerk Steve Madson. Absent – Bruce Faldet. Others present – Denis Walter, Charles Brining, and Ryan Brown. Charles Brining proposed a zone map amendment for one acre from the Ag and Woodland Transition (AWT) district to Ag Rentention (AR) district. Brining proposed the change because the AWT district there is a minimum of 5 acres and the AR district has a minimum of one acre. He is seeking to create the one acre lot to serve as adjacent land to the neighboring parcel. Town Chairman Sprangers noted that the town has a 5 acre minimum and that we have had other requests to go below the minimum and these were denied. Chairman Sprangers would like to see this continue. After a brief discussion, Chairman Doll asked for a vote on the amendment. The vote was 4-0 to deny the request due to the 5 acre minimum that the Town has in place.
