NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Town of Dupont Waupaca County, Wisconsin NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Dupont will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 7:00pm, at the Town of Dupont Town Hall, located at N11297 Town Hall Road, Marion, WI 54950. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment and input on a proposed ordinance entitled: ORDINANCE # 2026-05: AN ORDINANCE ENACTING A TEMPORARY ADMINISTRATIVE MORATORIUM ON THE ACCEPTANCE, PROCESSING, AND APPROVAL OF LAND USE PERMITS, CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS, AND REZONINGS FOR DATA CENTERS. Summary of the Proposed Ordinance: The proposed ordinance establishes a temporary, twelve (12) month administrative moratorium on the acceptance, processing, and approval of all local zoning permits, conditional use permits, and rezoning requests for the establishment or construction of data centers and high-density computing facilities within the Town of Dupont. The purpose of this temporary pause is to allow the Town of Dupont Plan Commission and Town Board sufficient time to research, draft, and adopt formal updates and text amendments to the Town of Dupont Comprehensive Plan and Town Zoning Ordinance. This process ensures that any future data center developments are properly regulated to protect the electrical grid, water infrastructure, environmental resources, and the rural character and safety of the township.
