Town Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Drammen Board Meeting Minutes May 11th, 2026 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jeff Larson at 7:00 p.m. with all board members present. Town residents Jim Williams and Gary Gritzmaker were also in attendance. April Meeting Minutes Motion to approve the April 14th meeting minutes was made by Mike Isaacson and seconded by Joe Becker. Motion carried. Treasurer's Report. Motion to approve the April Treasurer’s Report was made by Mike Isaacson and seconded by Joe Becker. Motion carried. Monthly Bills The monthly bills were reviewed. Joe Becker made a motion to approve the monthly bills, which was seconded by Mike Isaacson. Motion carried. Monthly Budget Review The board conducted a review of the current budget. The Clerk explained the Additional Highway Labor overage due to tree trimming and informed the board his intentions to move the overage amount from the Tree Trimming budget category, the board concurred. Drammen Family Day The board discussed plans for the annual Drammen Employees Family Day picnic. The Clerk offered to host it in his barn this year instead of the town maintenance shop, noting it is a nicer venue, and said he plans to invite the town election workers as well. The board agreed on a tentative date of Thursday, June 18th at 6:00 p.m. The town clerk will email all town employees with the tentative place and date. Chairman, Supervisor, Clerk Updates The Town Chairman asked for status of the door replacement quotes. Supervisor Mike Isaacson reported that he had received additional quotes from Roger Larson and Everson Home Improvement for a total of four. All quotes were reviewed and discussed with a decision to go with Everson Home Improvement for the quoted price of $4996.46 due to the thoroughness of the inspection and quote. Joe Becker made a motion to approve the action, seconded by Mike Isaacson, motion carried. The board asked Supervisor Joe Becker for an update on contacting his diesel mechanic friend to inspect the town plow truck. He said he has made initial contact and is still working to schedule a time. The Town Chairman brought up Hemlock Road in that it needs to be inspected to identify the sections that require repair or replacement before requesting bids. The board agreed to inspect the road before the next monthly meeting, and an agenda item will be added for further discussion. The Clerk discussed reports submitted, the creation of a Town of Drammen Facebook page, and a complaint from town member Ben Frolich about the counties removal of a cattle crossing near his property. Public Input Donna Lampman raised concerns about a recycling worker and about a resident who was difficult about disposing of prohibited items. Supervisor Mike Isaacson said he would look into the matter and take appropriate action. Motion to adjourn at 8:06 p.m. was made by Joe Becker and seconded by Mike Isaacson. Motion carried.
