Town Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Drammen Town Meeting Minutes April 14th, 2026 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jeff Larson at 7:34 p.m. immediately following the Annual Meeting with all board members present. Town residents Jim Williams, Greg Lampman, Chris Johnson and guests Ed Williams and Jeff Brenden(Scott’s Construction) were in attendance. March Meeting Minutes Motion to approve the March 9th meeting minutes was made by Mike Isaacson and seconded by Joe Becker. Motion carried. Treasurer's Report. Motion to approve the March Treasurer’s Report was made by Mike Isaacson and seconded by Joe Becker. Motion carried. Monthly Bills The monthly bills were reviewed. Mike Issacson made a motion to approve the monthly bills, which was seconded by Joe Becker. Motion carried. Monthly Budget Review The board conducted a review of the current budget. The Clerk explained the Website budget overage from upgrading the town's email address and addressed the tree trimming budget possible surplus with options to recover funds for other projects in the future. WTA Quarterly Meeting Menu The menu for the WTA Quarterly Meeting, sponsored by the Town of Drammen at Pleasant Valley on April 30th, was reviewed and officially approved. All Board members will bring their assigned food items to the Pleasant Valley Town Hall at 6pm that day. Road Repair Discussion The Chairman discussed the town boards review of the town roads with Scotts Construction representative who made recommendations and submitted bids for the following maintenance actions; Moe Road 1.7 Miles Single Chip Seal with 3/8 dark granite chips – cost $34,200 South Hemlock Road 1.54 Miles Single Chip Seal with 3/8 dark granite chips – cost $34,065 Town Hall Parking Lot Heavy Single Chip Sealing with 3/8 dark granite chips – cost $6,795 The bids were evaluated and deliberated, including consideration of additional repairs to be bid for the restoration or replacement of sections of Hemlock Road located between the recently paved segment completed in 2024 and the proposed maintenance actions for South Hemlock Road. A motion to approve the three bids was made by Mike Isaacson and seconded by Joe Becker. Motion carried. Chairman, Supervisor, Clerk Updates The Chairman reported that the driveway permit application for Jacob & Lacy Bork at S14725 Hoyts Creek Road was reviewed and approved. The current plow truck was discussed, including plans to sell it upon the arrival of the new truck next month. Electrical issues related to the vehicle were also addressed, and Supervisor Joe Becker stated that he knows a diesel mechanic who may be able to investigate the matter. He will contact the mechanic accordingly. Finally, the Chairman addressed the continuing concern regarding beavers obstructing the culvert on Sunny Nook Drive. He stated that he had spoken with the resident adjoining the culvert, who expressed that no intervention should occur on his property. Will continue to monitor. Supervisor Mike Issacson reported that the third estimate to replace the front door by Kevin Everson was still in progress and should be completed soon. The Clerk discussed reports submitted, receiving the replacement title for the current plow truck, and a county notice of road closure of County Road WW starting 27 April for multiple culvert replacements.
