Town Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Drammen Town Meeting Minutes February 9th, 2026 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jeff Larson at 7:00 p.m. with all board members present. Town resident Greg Lampman was also present. January Meeting Minutes Motion to approve the January 12th meeting minutes was made by Joe Becker and seconded by Mike Isaacson. Motion carried. Treasurer's Report Motion to approve the January Treasurer’s Report was made by Mike Isaacson and seconded by Joe Becker. Motion carried. Monthly Bills The Town Clerk talked about the Forthun fire call and that the third and final letter was going to be sent out. Joe Becker made a motion to approve the monthly bills, which was seconded by Mike Isaacson. The motion passed. Monthly Budget Review The monthly budget was reviewed. Chairman Updates The town chairman updated the Board on numerous topics including; Issues with the plow truck in that the kingpin on the front axle is going bad and the emissions sensor alarm is on. It was taken to Poeschel Truck repair for diagnosis; it is still drivable and will continue to monitor. Tree Trimming on the town roads has commenced, the bucket truck will be used soon but Tim will need help with traffic control. Town Recycling worker Greg Lampman and Gary Gritzmaker will assist. Front Door Replacement for the town hall. Have received one estimate from J Sikora Services for $2700 awaiting at least one more estimate before deciding to go ahead with the replacement. Scenic Road Culvert Replacement. Supervisor 1 will finish the package and submit it to the Town Clerk for processing with Eau Claire County Highway Department. The group Concerned Citizens presented a draft letter to be sent to the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee for Eau Claire County stressing the importance of restricting commercial wind and solar development on agricultural production land (AP). They requested support from all towns in the county. Mike Isaacson made a motion to approve the endorsement, which was seconded by Joe Becker. The motion passed. WTA District Meeting/BOR Training The Town Clerk presented the WTA District Meeting and Board of Review training set for March 7 at Florian Gardens. Town Supervisor 2 will attend in person; the Town Clerk will attend virtually and complete the registrations. Annual Report/Newsletter The Town Clerk proposed keeping the Annual Report and Newsletter separate, as the Annual Report is a state-mandated financial document. The board approved the split, and both documents will be presented for review at the next meeting. 2026 Regional EMS Meeting A notice for the meeting was presented with two dates, it was decided that the Town Chair and Clerk would attend the meeting on Thursday, February 19th at Fire Station 10. Fire Ordinance Proposed Update The Town Clerk recommended revising the Fire Protection Ordinance due to outdated phone numbers, suggesting calls be directed to the official town number (715 926-5856) instead of individual board members. The board approved, and the updated ordinance will be presented at the next meeting. Clerk Updates The town clerk provided the board with updates on several administrative matters that did not require any action from the board. Public Input Town member and recycling employee Greg Lampman gave a status of Terry Glanzman, a former recycling employee, and said that he was doing better but still under cancer protocols. Supervisor 1 requested the March town meeting be moved as he was unavailable on the 9th. The Town Board decided to move the meeting to Monday, March 16th at 7pm.
