Town Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Drammen Town Meeting Minutes August 20, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jeff Larson at 7:00 p.m. with all board members present. Garbage and Recycling Program Status of Program - The program's standards, staffing, and status of GFL contract were reviewed. A new five-year contract proposal which reduced costs was presented and tabled for decision at the next meeting. Hiring of New Personnel – The Garbage and Recycling job description and application forms were submitted for review. The board chose to simplify the application to one page and requested an ad in the Ad Delite. Motion to approve was made by Joe Becker and seconded by Mike Isaacson, motion carried. Pay Raise Incentive – Raising the Garbage and Recycling attendants’ pay from $13.95 to $18.00 was considered to attract more applicants. Motion to approve the increase to $18.00 starting September 1st was made by Mike Isaacson and seconded by Joe Becker, motion carried. Garbage and Recycling Flyer in Newsletter – The board approved adding a page on updated waste and recycling standards and the town board’s stance on sustainability, with the only change being to highlight the last paragraph.
