1 MINUTES TOWN OF PLOVER BOARD MEETING MAY 23, 2024 1. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Garbe called the meeting of the Town of Plover Town Board to order at 5:15 PM. Also present were Supervisors Bentley, Firkus, Pingel, and Rossier; Clerk/Treasurer Weller; and job applicant Bernard Klasinski. 2. MOTION TO GO INTO CLOSED SESSION TO CONDUCT INTERVIEW FOR EMPLOYMENT IN PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, PURSUANT TO WISCONSIN STATUTES SECTION 19.85(1)(c): CONSIDERING EMPLOYMENT, PROMOTION, COMPENSATION OR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION DATA OF ANY PUBLIC EMPLOYEE OVER WHICH THE GOVERNMENTAL BODY HAS JURISDICTION OR EXERCISES RESPONSIBILITY: Supervisor Rossier made the motion to go into closed session at 5:16 PM to conduct an interview for employment in the Town of Plover Public Works Department, pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(c). Supervisor Pingel seconded the motion, the question was called, and the motion carried unanimously in a roll call vote. 3. MOTION TO RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION: Supervisor Rossier made the motion to reconvene into open session at 5:40 PM, Supervisor Pingel seconded, the question was called, and the motion carried unanimously. 4. OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT: Supervisor Rossier made the motion to offer part-time employment to Bernard Klasinski in the Town of Plover Public Works Department at the Level 1 employee pay rate of $19.80 per hour. Supervisor Firkus seconded the motion, the question was called, and the motion carried unanimously. 5. ADJOURNMENT: Supervisor Bentley made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:45 PM, Supervisor Firkus seconded, the question was called, and the motion carried unanimously.
