Town of Verona Plan Commission Meeting Minutes April 16, 2026 6:30pm Town Hall Community Room 7559 County Highway PD, Verona WI Members Present: Mark Geller, Tom Mathies, Lori Lukens, Sarah Slack, Haley Saalsaa-Miller Staff: Sarah Gaskell, Administrator 1. Call to Order/Approval of Meeting Agenda – Geller called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Motion to approve the agenda by Mathies, second by Slack. Motion carried by voice vote. 2. Public Comment – none 3. Approval of Minutes from March 18th, 2026 Motion by Lukens, second by Mathies. Motion carried by voice vote. 4. Discussion and Possible Action: Land Use Application 2026-03 submitted by R & J Acres for a CSM and rezone for parcel numbers 062/0608-302-9001-0 located at 2109 Schmid Lane a. Applicant Comment • Bill Schmid – wants to purchase the land before the remainder is sold by the family Motion by Slack to recommend approval of Land Use Application 2026-03, second by Lukens. Motion carried by voice vote. 5. Discussion and Possible Action: Land Use Application 2026-04 submitted by Carissa Waldo for a CSM for parcel number 062/0608-252-9695-1 located at 2157 Davis Hills Drive a. Applicant Comment • Carissa Waldo – grew up on the property and wants to build a house for her family to be close to the grandparents b. Commissioner Comments • Mathies - supports the application; would like to see the shared utility easement depicted on the CMS • Geller – strongly supports the application; living in the Town allows families the benefit to live near each other through land divisions like this 6. Discussion and Possible Action: Dane County Towns Association Conditional Use Permit (CUP) Working Group proposal a.
