Minutes of Springdale Town Board Meeting on May 30, 2025 A meeting of the Springdale Town Board was held on May 30, 2025, for the purpose of discussing and possibly acting on issuing a request for bids for a new plow truck and related equipment. The meeting was called to order at 8:50 am at the Springdale Town Hall. Those present were supervisors Schwenn and Altschul, Chair Rosenbaum, and patrolman Devin Dahlk. Rosenbaum confirmed the meeting was posted in accordance with State open-meeting regulations. Devin and John advised that, based on the latest information from truck and equipment manufacturers, lead times for truck chassis are approximated 3 months, and lead-times for added equipment (plows, wings, boxes, spreaders) is 12-18 months. Devin and John suggested that it may be an ideal time to order a truck to replace our 2016 single-axle plow truck since we likely could have a new truck in service by the fall of 2026. Schwenn made a motion to authorize Devin to seek competitive bids for a truck chassis from Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Western Star, and to seek competitive bids for added equipment from Monroe and Burke. The bids would be evaluated at the Town Board meeting on June 17 and could possibly be acted upon then. Altschul seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
