Town of Rutland Planning Commission Meeting-MINUTES 785 Center Rd. August 4, 2025 – 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held via zoom and in person at the Rutland Town Hall Planning Commission meeting Agenda: Call meeting to order. PC Chair Huycke called the first meeting in the new town hall to order at 6:30 pm 2. Roll Call PC members Kent Knutson, Josh Cooper, Bill Boerigter, Derek Nedveck, James Huycke and Alternate Michelle Perz were present. Dawn George and Kim Sime were present as well. Others in attendance were Erik Onsrud and Peter Vanderveer. 3. Approval of the July (June 30) meeting minutes. Cooper motion to accept. Second by Nedveck. MP 5-0 4. Final CSM for Timothy and Jori Woodstock to make Petition 12158 effective. Boerigter motioned to recommend the Town Board approve the final CSM for Petition 12158. Second by Cooper. MP 5-0 5. Preliminary inquiry by Erik Onsrud regarding eligibility of land splits. Discussion with Erik Onsrud and paperwork provided, the PC members are satisfied with the findings of 2 development rights remain on the John & Martha Onsrud Revocable Living Trust property. (Note: The split information is from the Town action report (TAR) for petition #8602 which became effective 02/12/2003). Cooper motioned to recommend the Town Board approve that 2 development rights remain on the John & Martha Onsrud Revocable Living Trust property. Second by Knutson. MP 5-0 6. Discussion on creating an event permit. Discussion only. No Action Taken 7. Discussion on adopting a dark sky ordinance Boerigter will form a committee as per the Comp Plan for Dark Sky definition and further planning of ordinance. Disussion only. No Action Taken 8.
