Minutes for Town of Wilson Monthly Meeting 3/11/2025 The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Aaron Vizer at 7:01 pm at the Town Hall. Present were Supervisors Ed Shilts and Aaron Vizer, Clerk Danielle Barka and Treasurer Robin Richardson. Absent was Chairman Daniel Meyer. Also present were Sarah Richardson and Wayne Bonick. On motion by Vizer/Shilts the Board approved the minutes of the February meeting as printed. The Treasurer's report was presented to the Board. The Treasurer noted that the CD will come due in June. In road related items, Aaron and Ed went to look at a plow truck in Troy near the Dells. The truck is a 2007 Peterbilt with 66,000 miles. There was new paint added in rusted areas several years ago as well as new injectors and brakes. The truck is equipped with a Monroe plow and a side sander as well as a steel live box. Aaron noted there is rust in some places but nothing detrimental to the frame and integrity of the truck itself. It was also noted that a new sander would most likely be needed for it in the next few years if the sander on the Town's current truck will not fit. The cost of the truck is $55,000 and on motion the Board approved the purchase of the truck. Arrangements will need to be made for pick up of the truck and the Treasurer will transfer funds from the Machine Fund to the general checking account to purchase. The Board noted that road ban signs will need to be put up and Wendall Martin asked if the Town could put in a driveway and culvert over some County land that is being logged. Aaron told him he would need to contact the County. Finally, Robin noted that Kaufman Road south of D is pretty torn up from logging trucks. The Clerk asked who would be willing to take the Board of Review training and certification before the Board of Review in May. Robin agreed to take the training this year. The Clerk submitted bills for payment; all of which were approved along with any others that arrive and are due before the next monthly meeting. The Annual Meeting was scheduled at last year's Annual Meeting for Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 at 7:00pm and the next regular Board meeting will be held following the Annual Meeting on that same night.
