VILLAGE OF LISBON W234N8676 Woodside Road Lisbon, WI 53089-1545 MEETING MINUTES PARKS COMMITTEE LISBON VILLAGE HALL – AUGUST 12, 2026 at 5:00 PM Office: (262) 246-6100 | Email: VillageHall@LisbonWI.gov | Website: www.LisbonWI.gov Call to Order Committee Chair Trustee Paula Quinn called the Parks Committee meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Roll Call Present: Trustee Quin n; Members Ed Nelson, Donette Mayrack, Colleen Wandsnider , and Jeff Plazak ; Parks Supervisor Mike Lund; and Administrator Dan Green. Absent: Marlene Kumitsch Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all those present. Approval of Meeting Minutes May 13, 2026 Parks Committee Motion by Ed Nelson , second by Donnette Mayrack to approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried unanimously. Monthly Report(s) A. Parks Department Supervisor Lund gave a brief update on current Parks Department projects and accomplishments. No action was taken. B. Special Projects Administrator Green gave a brief update on the current status of the Parkitecture Planning project. He explained the final iterations of the park improvements were sent to Blake Theisen from Parkitecture for engineering and bidding. Event Planning A. Review and post-event discussion of 2026 Community Festival. The Committee discussed this year’s events successes and areas where it can improve. They stated that all the vendors were a success. They discussed whether a stage is necessary for next year’s event. They also decided to move the date ahead one week next year so it would not fall on father’s day weekend. B. Preliminary Planning for 2027 Community Festival Parks Committee Minutes August 12, 2026 Page 2 of 2 Office: (262) 246-6100 | Email: VillageHall@LisbonWI.gov | Website: www.LisbonWI.gov The committee discussed the change in date for the festival as well as reaching out to Haven’s Petting Zoo earlier to insure we get on their calendar. The committee also discussed using the same inflatable vendor, and potentially adding a donut vendor to t he event. Administrator Green will reach out to all the vendors to ensure next year’s date is on their calendar. C. Preliminary Planning for 2027 Easter Egg-stravaganza. The committee discussed what date the event will fall on next year. Because Easter falls on March 28, 2027, the event will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2027. They also discussed potentially getting eggs that already have candy stuffed in them. Mike Lund explained those tend to be more expensive and the candy that is inside is a lesser quality. Requests for Items to be Placed on a Future Agenda Donnette Mayrack asked that a status report be given at the next meeting regarding motorized scooters in Village Parks. Adjournment There being no further business, motion by Ed Nelson, second by Donnette Mayrack , to adjourn the meeting at 5:44p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
