Town of Perry Minutes of Town Board Meeting Wednesday, September 9, 2026 Perry Town Hall 1. Call to order. Chairman Roger Kittleson called the meeting to order at 11:00 AM. Supervisors Ken Hefty and Mick Klein Kennedy, and Clerk-Treasurer Stephanie Zwettler were present. Also in attendance: Road Patrolman Mark Eastman, Atty Mark Rooney, Tom Voss, and Kevin Fassbender. MSA Engineer Owen Mattila attended via video conference. 2. Town of Perry driveway at Hauge Historic District Park – consider rebidding the reconstruction improvements. The Town Board and MSA engineer discussed the bid results and agreed that timing and scheduling were a contributing factor. Tom Voss expressed fr ustration with the project’s duration, and after discussion, all parties agreed to rebid the project this fall, with construction scheduled for next spring after crop planting. The bid will include the following revisions: • Keep the driveway slope (percent grade) unchanged. • Remove native plant plugs from the bid; the Town will complete the planting. MSA will provide the native planting list, specifications, and requirements. • Eliminate the truck turnaround next to the parking area. • Substitute using concrete culverts for the driveway with thicker -gauge corrugated metal and use a thinner -gauge metal culvert for the parking area. • Keep the driveway entrance width unchanged. • Utilize local sources for fill disposal, giving Tom Voss first preference. • Reuse any clean gravel already on-site for the parking area or extend it onto the field drive. • Rebid the project late this fall. Dates will be finalized as design revisions and permitting proceed. 3. Adjournment. Mick Klein Kennedy moved and Ken Hefty seconded a motion to adjourn. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 12:19 PM.
