Town of Perry Minutes of Land Use Committee Meeting Wednesday, July 2, 2025 Perry Town Hall, 10084 County Highway A 1. Call to Order. Committee Chairman Dean Vogel called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Committee member s Jeff Anderson, Kevin Hefty and Deputy Clerk Stephanie Zwettler were present. Also in attendance: Scott Slaugh and Spencer Slaugh. Committee member Phoebe Blackman attended via teleconference. 2. Minutes of Previous Meeting – June 4, 2025. Kevin Hefty moved and Jeff Anderson seconded a motion to approve the minutes of the Land Use Committee meeting held on June 4, 2025, as presented. Motion carried. 3. Scott Slaugh, 1033 Perry Center Rd – accessory building. The Committee reviewed observations and discussions from the site visit. Members discussed definitions in the Land Use Plan and town’s building ordinance pertaining to accessory buildings. The Committee agreed that the proposed building site is on Poor soil and meets the criteria outlined in the Land Use Plan. Jeff Anderson moved and Kevin Hefty seconded the motion to recommend approval of the accessory building permit application as presented by Scott Slaugh. Motion carried. 4. Dane Co. zoning updates – review proposed zoning changes for selected parcels. The Committee members evaluated the zoning change proposals, provided recommendations, and requested more information on specific parcels. The Committee will continue reviewing the list of parcels at the next meeting. 5. Town Comprehensive Plan – review and discuss updates. The Land Use Committee reviewed recent amendments to the draft template. The Committee will continue to review and propose revisions at the next meeting. 6. Pending applications – review and discussion. Deputy Clerk Stephanie Zwettler reported a recent discussion for a potential zoning change. No applications have been submitted at this time. 7. Schedule meetings. Site views will be held on August 2, 2025, and the meeting and public hearings will be held on August 6, 2025, at 7:00 PM, for applications submitted by July 15, 2025. 8. Adjourn. Kevin Hefty moved and Jeff Anderson seconded a motion to adjourn. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:57 PM.
