1 MINUTES Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next meeting. ____________________________________________________________________________ Town of Sharon Board Meeting Thursday, July 9, 2026 – 6:30 p.m. Sharon Town Hall 1.Call to Order: Chairman Check called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. 2. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 3.Roll Call: Chairman Check, Supervisor Gibbs, Supervisor Gagas, Clerk Treasurer Filtz were present. Joe Jakubek, Road Foreman, and a few other town residents were present. 4. Notice of Meeting Postings: Notice of the meeting was posted in three places in the Town of Sharon (town hall window, kiosk between Sylvia’s and Polonia Café, kiosk in front of North Star Machine) and on the town website and Facebook. 5. Approval of Agenda: Motion made by Supervisor Gibbs, seconded by Supervisor Gagas to approve the agenda. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. 6. Approval of Minutes of June 11, 2026, Board Meeting: Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to amend the Minutes to read Supervisor Gibbs called the meeting to order. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to approve the amended Minutes. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. 7. Approval of the Bill Listing for June 12, 2026, through July 9, 2026: Motion made by Supervisor Gibbs, seconded by Supervisor Gagas to approve the Bill Listing. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. 8. Plan Commission Report: Supervisor Gibbs did not have a Plan Commission report this month. 9. Polonia Park Commission Report: Polonia Park Commission Report was given to the Board. 10.Change to JR’s Class B Combination Retail Renewal Liquor License: Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to change the wording of the place where liquor is stored at JRs per the Department of Revenue agent. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. 11.Class B Combination Retail Renewal Liquor License for The Backyard Bar and Grille: Motion made by Supervisor Gibbs, seconded by Supervisor Gagas to approve the Class B Combo Liquor License for The Backyard Bar and Grill. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. 2 12.Operator Licenses: Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to approve the renewal Operator License for Naomi Sawyer. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. 13.Temporary Alcohol Beverage License for Sacred Heart Church Picnic: Motion made by Supervisor Gibbs, seconded by Supervisor Gagas to approve the Temporary License for Sacred Heart Church picnic for August 14 & August 16, 2026. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. 14.Ordinance No. 2026-01 Fire Prevention: Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to approve Ordinance No. 2026-01. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. 15.Authorization of Addition of Supervisor Signature to Checking Account: Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to amend Agenda item #15 to read Resolution 2026-02. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Motion made by Supervisor Gagas, seconded by Supervisor Gibbs to approve the amended Agenda. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Motion made by Supervisor Gibbs, seconded by Supervisor Gagas to approve Resolution 2026-02 Authorization of Addition of Supervisor Signature to Checking Account. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. 16. Chairman’s Report: Bruce Boenski gave the Sharon EMS report. Discussion ensued about Fahner coming back to touch up work done on Rustic and Erin Roads. Ellis Road has been crack filled. Bids for Twin Lakes Drive/Road will be submitted around September. ARIP for Wilderness Drive was submitted. Bentley Road N should be put out for bids with wedging and overlay and waiting on B & B Paving for graveling roads.
